water teaches four important lessons:
what you see is often your projection
what is soft can also be powerful
persistence can break barriers
change is always happening.

Buena Vida 2020 Alum
A new year, a new group of women, a new world. We come together as strangers, let our guards down, and connected our souls with the ebb and flow of the ocean, arriving just as the pandemic began to unfold in the United States. If it had been a few days later, this retreat would have likely been canceled.
This was our second year hosting Buena Vida Retreat, with a new group of women who started as strangers and left with a deeper connection to themselves, each other, the local community, and the natural world. So much changed within ourselves and in the world in these 8 long days. As we packed up to return to our lives with a new sense of self and strong-as-hell immune systems ready for the next chapter.
We’ll never forget this year’s retreat and hope that healing comes to all. Here are some moments from the 2020 retreat, we hope to see you next year. <3
“I loved the pace and the intentions, and the adjustments workshop was fun for everyone, whether you’re a teacher or not. I also liked the diversity of the types of yoga - each class really was a different experience and that’s not something we get to be a part of every day.”
“I liked that the days felt full of activity but not in an overwhelming way. It was really nice waking up and doing yoga and heading out to surf from there, and the afternoon yoga class brought it all together again. the days where we did 2 classes per day were my favorites.”
“Family meals - super delicious, hearty, comforting, great time to get to know the other girls.”
“I really liked the yoga, the beach, and having the time to disconnect from the stress of my day-to-day and getting to know the amazing women who joined.”
